Hepatitis C (HCV)
The IDTA@JSI project works with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences (BIDLS) and the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) to build capacity for BIDLS- and BSAS-funded agencies providing Syringe Service Program (SSP) services. IDTA@JSI supports providers in expanding integrated services for drug user health located in SSPs, including Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) testing and treatment services.

In December 2025, IDTA@JSI hosted a webinar to share findings from interviews with 75 syringe service program (SSP) participants in Massachusetts on barriers and motivators influencing testing and treatment among people who inject drugs about their knowledge of and experiences with hepatitis C (HCV).
